Wine Varietals (Australian)
What:
Do you want to learn how to pick a wine variety by taste? This eight week practical tasting course focuses on eight major Australian wine varieties. Each week students examine eight wines - providing a unique opportunity to develop advanced sensory evaluation skills by distinguishing regional, climatic and varietal characteristics. This course is directed towards the intermediate to advanced wine consumer wishing to further advance their existing knowledge of wine.
The major Australian varieties studied are:
Riesling
Sauvignon Blanc
Semillon
Chardonnay
Pinot Noir
Merlot
Shiraz
Cabernet Sauvignon
*This course is recommended for students who have previously completed the Wine Essentials or Wine EssentialsPLUS course.
