Wine Essentials Plus
What:
As the name suggest this eight week course covers the Wine Essentials course content PLUS examines fortified wines and Australian wine growing regions. The last week gives students an opportunity to test their skills and provides an industry recognised certificate to those who successfully complete the theory and tasting test. A Saturday vineyard tour at a popular Swan Valley winery and a comprehensive text book is also included in the course fee.
Week 1: Wine Styles and Appraisal of Wine
Week 2: White Wine Production
Week 3: Red Wine Production
Week 4: Sparkling Wine Production
Week 5: Fortified Wine
Week 6: Wine Growing Regions Around Australia
Week 7: Buying and Cellaring Wines
Week 8: Theory and Tasting Test
*This course is recommended for people who are keen to expand their wine knowledge or people employed in the wine and hospitality industries.
