Asian Buyer Visit a Success

WIAWA together with Austrade, the South West Development Commission, the Great Southern Development Commission and the Department of Agriculture and Food hosted a group of importers and wine buyers last week from Nepal, South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Sri Lanka and Thailand.  Feedback from members who exhibited their wines at the various events held for these guests were generally impressed with the range of tastes, price points and varietals that were being sought.  WIAWA would like to thank the member companies that took part in this initiative and encourages members to follow up on interest from the individuals.  Also WIAWA would like to thank the hard work put in by Mat Lewis from the SWDC, Ali Naylor from the GSDC and Caris Pepper from Austrade in the Perth office as well as the collaborative effort from all parties involved in the project.
