Entries Now Open - Western Australia Wine Industry Awards 2009

The Wine Industry Association of WA will again stage the annual Western Australian Wine Industry Awards.  The Awards will be presented at the WA Wine Industry Awards 2009 Gala Dinner on the evening of Friday November 13, to be held at the Fraser’s Restaurant, showcasing the best wine and food the state has to offer to the national and local guests attending the event.  This year there is one major change to the awards. The Di Cullen Award will now be known as the “Di Cullen Award for Outstanding Achievement by an Individual in the WA Wine industry” which will provide greater opportunity for more applicants.  The Cullen family will be offering the winner a return flight to Paris with organised visits to biodynamic producers to the value of $5,000. In all categories, entry is open to all businesses and individuals in the WA wine industry and WIAWA encourages members to nominate through the forms attached.  Awards will be presented in the following categories:

Di Cullen Award for Outstanding Achievement by an Individual in the WA Wine Industry
Young Achiever Award
Outstanding Contribution to a Region by an Individual, Winery/Vineyard or Regional Association

WIAWA encourages members to again support these awards to ensure they are a true reflection of the excellence within the West Australian wine industry. Entry forms must be received at the Association by 5.00pm on Friday 25 September. Judging will take place during the month of October and the results will be announced at the WA Wine Industry Awards 2009 Gala Dinner on Friday November 13, 2009.
