Smoke Taint Workshop

Smoke Taint Workshop

Wines of WA in conjunction with the AWRI have agreed to support a proposed workshop on smoke taint and fire damage, to be held in Bunbury at the Department of Agriculture and Food this Friday afternoon from 1.00pm until 4.00. It will be free.

Members will be aware that recent major fires in the Waroona/Harvey area have the potential to affect a number of wineries in the Geographe and Peel Regions.

The workshop will go ahead if sufficient numbers attend, and you are strongly encouraged to register your interest as soon as possible, to ensure the workshop goes ahead.

You may not believe you are currently at risk, however, this is an issue which is likely to increase in regularity, and you are advised the information will be invaluable, now or in the future.

Venue: DAFWA

Address: Verschuer Place, Bunbury

Date: 22nd January

Time: 1pm - 4pm

Please contact: Jodie Pannell at to attend.
