Finlayson Wine Roadshow 24 - Advise on Succession Planning

Finlaysons Wine Roadshow 24 will be held in late-July to mid-September this year.  The theme in 2016 is “Elevage: Succeeding a Family Wine Business to the Next Generation”.

Wine Partner, Will Taylor, said that the firm received a number of requests during Wine Roadshow 23 last year to focus on succession planning this year.

“We gained the clear impression that people are struggling with this issue” said Will.  “It is critically important for both the family and the business.  We want to help the family develop a process, and execute it as smoothly and efficiently as possible, so that everyone is happy and the business elevates to a new level”.

The dates are as follows:

Swan Valley – 25 August 2016

Margaret River – 26 August 2016

The seminars will be held from 3pm until 6pm, with drinks and canapés for 1 hour afterwards.

For further information, please contact Ashleigh Falconer-Edwards on (08) 8235 7771 or Ashleigh.falconer-edwards@finlaysons.com.au

A detailed program is now available, with just a few final speakers to confirm. Register now to lock in early bird prices and secure your preferred workshop places. Discounted tickets to the Maurice O’Shea Award Dinner are available to AWITC delegates and can be purchased as part of your registration.

ACCC Horticulture and Viticulture Regional Workshops

The ACCC is inviting you to participate in a series of horticulture and viticulture regional workshops.

The purpose of these workshops is for us to hear directly from growers and other people in the industry about competition and fair trading issues that affect them. The workshops will give you the opportunity to raise your concerns directly with ACCC Commissioners. You will also have the opportunity to learn about the role of the ACCC and how the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 and the Australian Consumer Law can benefit you.

The workshops will be held at:

  •  Shepparton, Victoria, on Monday 6 June 2016
  •  Toowoomba, Queensland, on Friday 10 June 2016
  •  Bunbury, Western Australia, on Thursday 30 June 2016
  •  Griffith, New South Wales, on Monday 4 July 2016
  •  Murray Bridge, South Australia, on Monday 18 July 2016
  •  Devonport, Tasmania, on Thursday 1 September 2016.

The workshops will be chaired by ACCC Deputy Chair Michael Schaper and Commissioner Mick Keogh. If you wish to attend a workshop, please register using the ACCC’s Consultation Hub, which also contains further information about the workshops.

We appreciate that the horticulture and viticulture industries have a presence across Australia. For industry participants who are unable to attend a workshop or who wish to raise an issue privately, information or questions can be sent to agricultureworkshops@accc.gov.au. The ACCC is happy to receive complaints on a confidential basis.
