2019 National Vintage Report Survey Form (click to access survey form)

National Vintage Survey 2019 is now open – closing date 24th May, 2019

This is the wine sector’s official annual crush survey and the best source of reliable information about varieties grown, regional production and in particular, grape values at a regional level.

WA is typically under-represented in responses to the survey. This has become evident as we get accurate data regarding volume and variety via the state APC reporting process however, we do not collect pricing information. The result is a significant deficiency in our industry statistical resource. As a result, the scale of our industry is underrepresented at national level. This can have a negative impact on our ability to access nationally provided resourcing and support.

It is therefore very important that all WA producers who crush grapes in a vintage complete the survey.

 Confidentiality

I would like to assure you that all of the information you provide will be treated confidentially and any personal information collected in the course of conducting the survey will be collected and handled in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles and Wine Australia’s privacy policy.  A letter outlining Wine Australia’s confidentiality undertaking is available here

If you have any questions about completing the survey, or would like to discuss any aspect of the process, please contact Peter Bailey, Manager of Market Insights by phone 08 8228 2030 or by email peter.bailey@wineaustralia.com.

All participants will receive a copy of the full National Vintage report that includes grape intake summary tables for all GI regions with a reported crush over 1000 tonnes. This is an invaluable resource and planning tool which will give you up-to-date and reliable information about your region to help with decisions about growing or purchasing grapes and will provide insights into wine demand by variety and region.
