WINE ESSENTIALS – Four Weeks (two hours per week)

Price - $360
The cost of the course includes a vineyard visit in the Swan Valley and food from Habitué.

The wine essentials course provides the necessary information for all wine enthusiasts who are looking to increase their wine knowledge and approach to tasting. It is also an appropriate course for those about to enter the wine trade.

Week One – Learn how to taste and assess a range of wine styles.
Week Two – White wine production and botrytis cinerea.
Week Three – Red wine production, oak and cellaring potential of wine.
Week Four – Food and wine matching to be held at Habitué restaurant, North Fremantle.

There will be six wines tasted each week.

Entrepreneurs' Program

Entrepreneurs’ Program is a government funded, comprehensive review of food and agribusiness businesses in WA that connects them with up to $20,000 matched government grant to implement the recommendations of the review.

Business Evaluation
A fully government funded service to assess your business, research the industry you operate in and create a plan of action you endorse and are ready to implementThe evaluation typically involves working on site with your team 1-2 days and applying our industry experience combined with diagnostic tools to investigate key areas of your business. The outcome is a comprehensive report and a set of recommendations endorsed by you specific to the needs of your business.

Business Growth Grant Funding
Up to $20,000 Business Growth Grant(s) to engage a consultant/s of your choice to make improvements to their business that were recommended in the Business Evaluation phase. The grants could be used for example to engage an export consultant, to develop your online e-business strategy or to get you ready to supply into retail supply chains. Your business will be reimbursed for half the cost of engaging independent consultant(s) of your choice to a maximum of $20,000 (excluding GST).

Eligibility
To be eligible for this service your business must
• be solvent;
• have a turnover of between $1.5 and 100 million;
• be in operations for at least 3 years; and
• undertake food or beverage production, or supply integral services or technologies to support food or beverage production.

Funding Grants for Women in Agriculture

In 2016 Women & Leadership Australia is administering a national initiative to support the development of female leaders across the agriculture sector.

From February 10th 2016 the initiative will provide women in the agriculture sector with grants for leadership development. More specifically, grant applications are open to women employed in the agriculture sector at two levels. Please click on the preferred program link for details.  The deadline for expressing your interest for this funding in your sector ends on March 31st.

Senior Management and Executive level Women Leaders can apply for $12,000 Individual Grants to undertake the Advanced Leadership Program.

Women Managers can apply for $5,000 Individual Grants to undertake the Accelerated Leadership Performance Program.
